Merkurstraße 8-10 - D-76530 Baden-Baden
Which do you want to do first?
You're sitting at the roulette table like Dostoevsky's Players, Marlene Dietrich, and many others before you. Your chips are dwindling. You take a deep breath: All in on 17. And you win a lot of money. How wonderful!
You go straight into town, buy Fabergé eggs, silk scarves, and unique handmade shoes. In between, you stop to have a pear ice cream champagne sorbet to refresh you, and then the search continues. A Picasso here, a rare fragrance there. Why not splurge on a pretty little vintage car, like a small English roadster? Or would you prefer gifts, gifts, and more gifts for all your friends? You’ll be wondering: How is my wallet always full?
International designer labels, precious jewellery, fashionable accessories, exquisite antiques, trendy galleries, fine wines, and sweet temptations in our traditional cafés and chocolateries. Suppose you are looking for something unique and don't want to miss out on style, charm, and quality. In that case, you will enjoy wandering through a feast for the senses together with other visitors from all over the world.
Calling all fashionistas, shopping fans, and arts and crafts enthusiasts. For those strolling through the lively pedestrian zone, just a 2-minute walk from the Merkur Hotel, along Baden-Baden's "Fashion Boulevard Sophienstrasse" as well as in Lichtentaler Strasse in the small shops of the Kurhaus-Kolonnaden or in the Bäderviertel, as well as in the Old Town, you will be surprised by the unbelievable amount of quality that can be found in countless boutiques, specialist shops, and shopping centres, both excessively and lavishly.

"Rien ne va plus - Nothing works anymore" can only be said for the game in the casino; otherwise, a lot works here! The Baden-Baden Casino combines style, history, exclusivity, and elegance like no other casino and is one of the most traditional casinos in Europe.
The Baden-Baden Casino is Germany's most traditional and well-known casino. For almost 200 years, it has particularly represented the luxurious standards and experience of a casino. Baden-Baden has always been about more than just gambling: Top-class gastronomy, dancing, enjoying the opulent atmosphere, outstanding cultural events, horse racing, seeing and being seen, these have always been equally important elements of the casino experience. With its French roots and its premises in the classicist Kurhaus of Baden-Baden, which was furnished for the casino in the 19th century with richly-decorated halls modelled on French royal castles, it is part of a tradition unique to Germany. Only here can you find the typical international casino flair.
Noblesse and splendour have been preserved to this day, enriched by an emphasis on a modern style, a diverse range of games, and entertainment. This casino continues to combine tradition and modernity, and roulette, blackjack, and poker can all be played in a shimmering Belle Epoque setting. But the newer gambling areas, such as the Bénazet Room or the Pavilion, which opened in 2016 and now provide outdoor games, also boast breathtaking views unmatched in all of Germany.
Readings with renowned authors under the chandeliers of the Florentine Hall, dancing evenings, fashion shows or cabaret - The diverse programme of events at the casino guarantees top entertainment. It also allows you to enjoy a whole other world of unique experiences in Germany. Many famous personalities, writers and composers, and unforgettable Hollywood legends have dined, gambled, and lost themselves in this unique atmosphere, giving the city a special social prestige, and whose magic continues to this day. The world-renowned spa town of Baden-Baden and its glamorous casino have become as much of a legend as many of its illustrious guests. Even today, you can still come across famous names from business, society and politics, stars & starlets, it-girls and visitors from near and far at the Baden-Baden Casino. In 2009, the Nato summit took place at the Kurhaus. Angela Merkel, Barack Obama, Nicolas Sarkozy and the greats of world politics met under the five chandeliers in the Florentine Hall of the Baden-Baden Casino.

Let yourself be enchanted by the charm of the historic Baden-Baden on a walk through the majestic lobby of the “Trinkhalle”.
Slightly elevated and situated to the side of the Kurhaus, its majestic appearance with its 16 columns is reminiscent of Baden-Baden's Roman history.
When viewing the 14 murals, visitors are taken on a journey into the mythical world of the northern Black Forest, and may also be inspired to journey to the locations depicted in the areas surrounding Baden-Baden.
Originally built for the drinking cures, which became fashionable in the 19th century, the thermal spring bubbling in the interior now only has a symbolic character and, for the most part, only satisfies the curiosity of visitors who wish to treat themselves to a "sip of health".
According to current guidelines, the thermal water is unsuitable as drinking water and consumption is not advised.
